INVITATION – Corporate Social Responsibility Workshop

Wednesday, 20th May 2015 at the Riverbank House Hotel

12.30pm. to 2.30pm. Registration & Lunch

Wexford Chamber in conjunction with Chambers Ireland is setting out to encourage Wexford businesses, and in particular a greater number of SME’s, to consider introducing Corporate Social Responsibility activities in their companies.  In order to promote increased awareness of CSR, Wexford Chamber have organised an informative CSR workshop at which attendees will recognise the value of CSR and the role it can play in creating a sustainable economy and society.

The term Corporate Social Responsibility can seem off-putting to a lot of smaller businesses, however, it needn’t be.  Acting in a way that shows some level of care for staff, community and customers is a good start to a strong CSR ethos.   CSR should be integrated into every aspect of a business and lie at the core of a company’s overall strategy.

While multinationals have reaped the benefits of having CSR strategies for years, many smaller businesses are still yet to take the plunge.  Despite misconceptions, CSR doesn’t have to mean big money and this workshop will show you that any business, no matter how big or small, can implement an effective CSR strategy.  CSR is something that businesses can no longer afford to ignore, and with a unique opportunity to get advice from experts in the field, neither is this workshop!

At this workshop, you will:

  • Learn what CSR is all about and how it can be beneficial for your business;
  • Get tips on how to go about starting your own CSR programme;
  • Hear real life experiences from companies who have implemented successful CSR programmes;
  • Have the opportunity to ask the panel any questions about CSR; and
  • Have lunch and meet some great people!

Special guest speakers include Sinéad Hickey, CSR Manager with Abbott Ireland, Kevin Sludds of Ethics Consultancy & Training International Ltd, Niall Reck of Graphedia, Phil Walker of Econcertive and Tim Greig of Bank of New York Mellon.

We look forward to welcoming you to this workshop.
