Halo Tiles in Camolin Celebrate 50 Years in Business

There were celebrations in store at Halo Tiles and Bathrooms in Camolin as architect and star of RTE’s Room to Improve, Dermot Bannon paid a visit to mark the company’s 50th anniversary.

Over 200 people from across the community gathered in the store’s flagship showroom to meet Dermot and learn some tips and tricks about how to make the most of a living space. According to Patrick Doyle of Halo Tiles, Dermot’s extensive presentation was extremely informative and interesting.

“It was absolutely excellent. We have had Dermot at different events before but this was the first one he did for us in three years. His presentation was very informative. He gave a presentation on layouts and some tips on lighting,” he explained.

Following the presentation, Dermot met with many members of the public who wished to gain advice about their house plans. According to Patrick, he was very generous with his time and expertise and stayed until he had consulted with every person in the queue.

Following the presentation, visitors and staff alike enjoyed a barbeque and coffee from B27. According to Patrick, the day was a huge success and a great occasion for the family, the staff and the wider community.

“Reaching 50 years in business is a big achievement and we are very proud of it. It was a bit sad too because my Dad passed away last year so he wasn’t able to see this,” he said.

“We want thank all of our staff for working so hard over the years. We have a great team, including a lot of long-serving staff who have been with us for over 20 years. They’re part of the family. We also want to thank our customers for their loyalty, as well as all of the family who were there to help us out on the day.”

Dermot’s visit was one of several events organised to mark 50 years of Halo Tiles. The previous weekend, over 750 kids from across the county ascended on the playing fields of Halo Tiles Wexford GAA Centre of Excellence for a Monster Blitz as part of the celebrations.
