INTEGER plan to begin work on an 80,000sq ft extension to their New Ross plant in September, with a view to hiring staff ahead of its opening, scheduled for the following September.
Last week this newspaper broke the news that the county’s biggest employer was planning the extension to meet increased customer demand for guidewire development and manufacturing.
CEO Pauline Oakes from Fethard confirmed details about the company’s plans in a statement.
“Integer will be increasing capacity at our New Ross facility by 80,000 sq ft and investing significantly in state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment. Construction will begin in September of this year with the majority of project completed by September 2023.”
