Wexford VTOS recently Launched its offerings for the 21/22 academic year, showcasing some new and exciting offerings. This programme is available to those who are over 21 and in receipt of a payment from the department of social protection.
Following on from the success of its pilot year one Accounts Technician Ireland Course, the second year of this industry recognised qualification has now been added. A Level 4 general learning award in general learning has been developed with a major focus on English as a second language. This is seen as an ideal progression route for those having worked with Waterford Wexford ETB’s outstanding ESOL programmes.
The Sports Department has also seen exciting changes with the addition of two new programmes to compliment the well-established G.A.A. coaching programme. Graduates of these programmes will achieve a QQI major award in sport and recreation but will either focus on strength and conditioning or sports massage and injury rehabilitation. All graduates will also be offered the opportunity to gain industry recognised ITEC accreditation.
With the onset of Covid and the growth in online retail, a level 5 major award in e-business has been launched with a major focus on online selling and retail. Graduates of this programme or the very successful Business administration course can as always progress to the Pre-College business Level 6 with links to I.T. Carlow’s Wexford Campus. Or the new Business major award with its focus on management. The target group for this programme are those who have already completed a business level 5 or those who have progressed through to management positions but now require a qualification too further their careers.
