World Record Attempt for the World’s Longest Christmas Cracker Chain!

We would like to invite you to join us on Wexford’s Quay this Thursday 22nd December at 6pm for the Wexford Winterland Festival Guinness World Record attempt, kindly supported by Wexford County Council.

This year we are going to attempt to break a world record for the very first time and we need your help to do it! Be part of a Guinness World Record! On Thursday 22nd Dec we are attempting to set a record for the largest Christmas Cracker Pulling Chain – and we need you to pull the crackers – We’ll have a big stage on the Quay, entertainment from Corner Boy and lots of spot prizes. Sure where else would you be?

We will supply the crackers so you just have to turn up and wear your best Christmas jumper!

Yes, you can keep the little present in the cracker and you can tell the corny jokes over and over and wear the paper crown.

P.S. There are spot prizes for the best Christmas jumper!

Did you Know!

The Guinness Book of Records was started in Wexford when Sir Hugh Beaver, the MD of the Guinness Brewery attended a shooting party in Castlebridge. He and his hosts argued about the fastest game bird in Europe, and failed to find an answer in any reference book – so he set up the Guinness Book of Records.

Hope you can join us for a cracking good time!
