Energy Support Scheme for Businesses is now open

Registration for the Temporary Business Energy Support Scheme (TBESS) aimed at assisting businesses with increases in their energy costs is now open and will be administered by the Revenue Commissioners.

The TBESS will assist qualifying businesses with their electricity or energy costs from September 2022 to February 2023. Businesses that qualify will get up to 40% of the additional costs they are facing. Eligible businesses can register for the TBESS, on Revenue’s Online Service (ROS).

Businesses can submit claims from the 5th of December 2022.  First payments from the TBESS will be available to business owners by the end of the year once the Finance Bill 2022 is enacted in December.

Acting CEO Emma Dunphy said “I urge all eligible businesses across County Wexford to apply for the scheme and if I can be of any assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact me directly”.
