Invitation: Newstalk’s ‘Down to Business’ Show Broadcasting Live from Whites Hotel

Bobby Kerr’s ‘Down to Business’ will broadcast live from Whites Hotel in Wexford this Saturday, 14th March from 11 am until 1 pm.  This show is happening as a result of Wexford Chamber’s meeting last week with Wexford County Council and Retail Excellence Ireland.  A number of people will be interviewed from across the retail and tourism sectors, together with other key stakeholders.  All are welcome to attend this live event.

WHAT: Newstalk’s Down to Business, presented by Bobby Kerr, brings the “Winning back the High Street” live broadcast to Whites of Wexford to talk directly to local retailers in Wexford.

The show will tackle the challenges facing local retailers in Wexford and Irish retailers in general and take a fresh perspective on where the opportunities lie for businesses.

After the show Bobby will host a short questions and answers session for audience members seeking advice.

Bobby will be speaking to former Wexford Hurler Liam Griffin who will be talking business, GAA and life in Wexford. He will also be joined by The CEO of Wexford Festival Opera, David McLoughlin and Vinny Doyle from the Band ‘Cry Before Dawn’ who’s now a car dealership owner in Wexford.

Peter Donellan; Manager of the Wexford Fruit Producers , Eamon Crean, owner of Greenhills Fruit Farm and MrMichael SlawskiBord Bia Horticulture Division will all join Bobby to talk about the famous Wexford strawberries and the upcoming strawberry festival.

As part of ‘Winning Back the High Street’ local business owners in Wexford will debate and discuss what needs to be done in Wexford to promote and develop small business and the self-employed. Local musicians ‘Cornerboy’ will provide musical entertainment on the day.

In addition to all this, there will be the usual mix of Down To Business features including the paper review, industry review and lots more besides. The show will be broadcast live in front of a local audience
