Deadline for 2013 Wexford Fringe Festival Guide Fast Approaching

The deadline for event listings in the 2013 Wexford Fringe Festival Guide is Friday, 12th July. Wexford Fringe Festival is an annual open-access arts festival which will run in parallel to Wexford Opera Festival from Friday, 18th October to Sunday, 3rd November 2013 as part of the Gathering.

Wexford Chamber is delighted to announce Celtic Link Ferries as sponsors of the 2013 Wexford Fringe Festival Guide. Celtic Link Ferries are a 100% Wexford owned low-fares ferry company sailing between Rosslare and Cherbourg, France. Its vessel, Celtic Horizon is the newest and fastest vessel sailing on the route and the only ferry company that will sail all year round in 2013. With three return sailings each week there is no easier or more cost-effective way of sailing to France.

Commenting on the upcoming festival, Rory McCall, Marketing Manager at Celtic Link Ferries said, “We are delighted to be in partnership with Wexford Chamber and to be supporting the Wexford Fringe Festival. We have visitors from across France travelling to the Fringe and the Opera Festivals and it is wonderful to see both festivals grow in popularity year on year and attract international audiences offering a huge economic boost to the town, as well as a key tourism asset for the entire South East region.”

Now in its 61st year, Wexford Fringe offers an eclectic mix of over 300 events over 17 days including live gigs, theatrical performances, comedy, historical walking tours, literary recitals, book fairs, photography and art exhibitions, many of which are free to attend.

Unlike a curated festival, the open-access nature of Wexford Fringe means that anyone with a show, exhibition or cultural event is able to register and be part of one of Ireland’s largest Fringe events. The result is one of the most diverse fringe festivals in Ireland, renowned for fresh ideas, spontaneity and fun.

Event organisers are asked to contact Shane Rochford at Wexford Chamber on 053 9122226 or email  by Friday 12th July 2013 to ensure inclusion in the Fringe Guide. 10,000 Fringe Festival Guides will be distributed in September and all events will also be listed on
