Wexford Fringe 2016, Festival Windows Competition

Once again Wexford Chamber is delighted to announce the launch of their annual Festival Windows Display Competition as part of the 64th Fringe Festival. The window display competition is open to everyone and we are asking all shop owners to join in the festive fun to make Wexford’s Main Street, side streets and quay come alive with colour and vitality. Make your shop stand out and be one to remember during the festival season.

Sponsored by Wexford Credit Union and Calor Gas, this year’s theme is ‘The Heart of Wexford’.  Windows can be dressed in any style that celebrates any aspect of the festival atmosphere or anything Wexford, whether it is sport, Vikings, food, opera, music, dance, comedy, Fringe Festival or a famous Wexford personality. Feel free to express your creative side and contribute to the electric ambience of the town while you are at it!

This year we are delighted to announce a top prize for the overall best dressed window of €250.  Additional cash prizes of €100 will be awarded to the winners of each of the following three categories with the runners up receiving a non-cash prize.

  1. CREATIVITY: Style, concept, design and artistry.
  2. ENGAGEMENT: Would the display encourage me to enter the store and be a return customer
  3. IMPACT/ VISUAL APPEAL: Overall impact and appeal in comparison to neighbouring stores
