.ie Digital Town Awards are open for entries

Businesses, people, towns across Ireland are eligible to enter the annual .ie Digital Town Awards 2024, which celebrate the digital achievements of local towns, businesses and citizens across the country.

The .ie Digital Town Awards create a sense of pride and act as a catalyst for creating positive change. Now open for applications, there a total prize fund of €60,000 across 10 categories in areas such as business, sustainability, agri-tech, digital tourism, community and education. The .ie Digital Towns Awards 2024 is an initiative of .ie, a profit-for-good company and manager of Ireland’s trusted online .ie address.

Entry to the Awards is free, applications close at 5pm on Friday 1 March 2024.

.ie Digital Town Awards 2024

The .ie Digital Town Awards recognise and reward projects with a digital element that have been created by town groups and local communities. These awards are aimed at promoting awareness, knowledge, use and understanding of digital technologies in Ireland by its citizens, businesses and communities. They also highlight the benefits, possibilities of e-commerce and celebrates the digital achievements of towns across Ireland, big and small. 

Who is .ie?

.ie is a registry company for Irish internet domain names, operating and maintaining the .ie database. They have been managing the .ie country code Top Level Domain (ccTLD) namespace since July 2000. Their work includes protecting, supporting and promoting the online presence of all .ie domain names. In co-operation with specific Registrars, partners and stakeholders, .ie helps shape the development of the internet landscape and ecosystem.

Who can enter?

The Awards are open to community organizations, town groups, regional or national collaboration projects and individual businesses who can demonstrate implementation and impact of digital strategies.
