Wexford – 25th February, 2015 – Innovate Business Technology Limited (Innovate) has been appointed the official IT partner of Wexford GAA. The sponsorship deal, which was negotiated by Club Wexford, includes the renaming of the main county ground as ‘Innovate Wexford Park’ for a minimum period of 4 years.
The partnership between Innovate and Wexford GAA will be launched in the Amber Springs Hotel in Gorey, Co. Wexford on Thursday evening, 26th February.
The GAA since its foundation has been the cornerstone of Irish communities and has promoted all that is positive in local talent and ability. In the same way Innovate, from its grass roots in Wexford, has developed into a leading IT business providing network, cloud and IT infrastructure services to businesses on a national basis.
“At Innovate, we know the importance of having a great collective team spirit, a spirit which has seen us as an organisation grow through investment in talent, the development of our people and a focus on our customers. We will continue to drive this national and international growth through job creation, customer loyalty and new business acquisition,” said Jim Hughes, Chief Executive Officer, Innovate Business Technology Limited.
“The customer and our people are the two most important stakeholders in our organisation. We support the communities in which our customers and our people live and work. Wexford is renowned for having the greatest supporters in the country. Wexford GAA is on the cusp of once again becoming a leading light and we at Innovate are delighted to be a part of that team effort to help further the county’s ambitions for future success. As a proud supporter and former underage Wexford player I believe this is the perfect partnership for our company.”
Welcoming the announcement, Wexford County Chairman, Diarmuid Devereux said, “Innovate is a Wexford company with a defined strategy for national and international growth and development, and an overall vision which clearly matches many of the objectives of Wexford GAA. The Management Committee is confident that this partnership arrangement will result in significant further development of our use of all forms of information technology to promote Gaelic games within the county. This exciting development will also open up employment opportunities for our young players, especially those studying computer science and related business subjects, which are at the core of the company’s activities. We are delighted to further develop our partnership with a company with the profile and pedigree of Innovate.”
