Luxurious Ambiance of Kelly’s Resort Hotel & Spa Captivate Local Businesses

Over 70 local business people stepped into in a holistic-lovers paradise on Thursday 9th May when Kelly’s Resort Hotel & Spa hosted a free Business After Hours event at their family run 4-star resort hotel in Rosslare Strand, in association with Wexford Chamber.

Backed by a history of service spanning three centuries, Kelly’s Resort Hotel & Spa has been a favourite holiday destination among Irish people for years, consistently proving a hit with each new generation.  Bill Kelly is the fourth generation Kelly to run the hotel and with his wife Isabelle, they took over the running of Kelly’s Hotel in 1987 with the management team and have overseen a range of developments at the hotel, including the modernisation of all bedrooms, the addition of 30 rooms, the creation of the spa and the development of the Aqua Club Leisure Centre.  With 60,000 visitors last year, Kelly’s Resort Hotel & Spa experienced 91% occupancy, growth of 4% and a turnover of €11 million in 2012.

An inspirational presentation given by Bill Kelly, Managing Director at Kelly’s Resort Hotel & Spa, entitled ‘Customer Service for Profit’ was well received by the large gathering of visiting businesses in attendance.  Speaking about the sense of passion, love and genuine care that is evident throughout every department of the hotel, Bill said, “By far the most unique and strongest aspect of Kelly’s is our friendly and efficient staff who see the guest’s ultimate satisfaction as their main ambition.  The most important message that you should try communicate to your team is that the customer is always right.  With over 1700 man years of work among the workforce, the 193 employees at Kelly’s offer excellent customer loyalty and a superior personalised service, ensuring that the same guests return year after year.”

Bills father would always say, “Success is not measured in the number of customers, but in the number of repeat customers.”  Over 70% of Kelly’s bookings are repeat business, of which 85% are primarily domestic. 

Attendees were indulged with a tour of the hotels exceptional facilities to include the deluxe spa known as “SeaSpa” which was opened in 2004 at a cost of €6million.  With an indoor and outdoor seawater vitality pool, bio sauna, seaweed baths, salt-infused heat room and 14 treatment rooms, the 15,000 sq. ft SeaSpa complex make Kelly’s stand out from their competitors as a world-class holistic destination.  Other facilities include 123 bedrooms with 2 suites, three restaurants, two bars, an aqua club and fitness centre with two indoor swimming pools, steam room, sauna and outdoor Canadian hot tub.

The networking evening saw Aidan O’Gorman of O’Gorman Cosgrave win the prize draw for dinner for two in La Marine or Beaches Restaurant in Kelly’s Resort Hotel & Spa.
