New Ross Guitar Festival 2022 From 11th – 14th August

This exciting new Guitar Festival brings Irish and International guitarists of the highest calibre to New Ross with the aim of promoting the various genres of guitar and inspiring a new generation to experience the benefits of pursuing a dynamic instrument.

The Festival will include live performance, workshops and the commencement of the New Ross Guitar Orchestra which is open to all ages, styles and levels of ability.

The festival will kick off on August 11th with Ireland’s greatest classical guitarist John Feeley who has been acclaimed worldwide. He will be supported by David Creevy himself!

Ana Vidovic, from Croatia is a child prodigy who has become one of the world’s most respected and sought after classical guitarists in the world. Ana will perform at St. Michael’s theatre on the evening of Sunday 14th of August. She will be supported by the newly formed New Ross Guitar Festival Orchestra, in their first public performance!

Matteo Mancuso is a rock/jazz guitarist from Sicily, a guitar virtuoso, whose avant-garde guitar playing reaches new horizons for the instrument. Matteo will headline a trio at St.Micheal’s theatre on Saturday 13th of August. Matteo’s supporting act will be the well-known and highly respected bluegrass music of Niall Toner and his band.

Eamonn Sweeny an expert in medieval stringed instruments will be performing in concert with Soprano Roisin O’ Grady.. Prepare to be transported back in Time!  This performance will take place at Kilmokea Country House and Manor.
