Talbot Hotel Wexford Artist of the Year 2014

The Talbot Hotel Wexford are delighted to announce our Talbot Wexford Artist of the Year Competition 2014.

They are inviting all pupils from Primary Schools and Secondary Schools to take part. They will then have the following categories: Overall Primary School, Junior Certificate (1^st, 2^nd & 3^rd years) and Leaving Certificate (Transition, 5^th & 6^th Years). Pupils can submit one piece of artwork no smaller than A4 and no bigger than A3. Entries are been taken from the 1^st September 2014 up to and including Friday 10^th October.

A judging panel will then choose 6 pupils per category to showcase their work at the Talbot Hotel Wexford during the prestigious Wexford Opera Festival, 22^nd October through to the 2^nd November.  On Sunday 2^nd November, the overall winner per category will be announced.

Launching the Competition, General Manager, Dick Walsh has said “The Wexford Opera Festival attracts a large number of local and overseas visitors each year. This is a fantastic way to showcase the talents of our young people during the Festival.”
