Wexford Chamber Donates Cheque to RNLI Rosslare Harbour

On Friday, 4th July, Wexford Chamber were delighted to present a cheque for €3,560 to the Rosslare Harbour Lifeboat Coxswain Eamonn O’Rourke.  The Rosslare Harbour all weather Severn Class Lifeboat serves the  Wexford Coastline from Cahore Point to Carnsore Point and 100 miles out to sea.  The Wexford Business Awards in Whites of Wexford on 20th June, was attended by over 470 people all of whom contributed to a raffle in aid of the RNLI.

photo17Chairperson of the RNLI Rosslare Harbour FundRaising Branch, Leo Coy, commented “On behalf of the Rosslare Harbour Lifeboat, I would like to say a big thank you to Wexford Chamber for donating the proceeds of the Business Awards Raffle to the Rosslare Harbour Lifeboat.  Your donation is very much appreciated and it will be a great boost to our funds for this year helping to maintain our lifeboat and crew.” (See his letter HERE).

Martin Doyle, President of Wexford Chamber, has been closely associated with the RNLI for many years and was delighted to be in a position to make such a donation to the RNLI, the charity that saves lives at sea.
