Winning Local Authority Contracts in County Wexford – Understanding Public Procurement

In association with the Wexford Means Business Network

would like to invite you to attend an information session on

Winning Local Authority Contracts

on Thursday the 28th November 2013 at 7pm

in Wexford County Council Offices, Carricklawn, Wexford

Wexford Local Authorities buy €200million of services and products each year, and therefore are one of the largest buyers in the County.  Research has shown that although small companies account for 99% of total companies nationally, they deliver less than half of the requirements of contracting authorities.  Local Companies are the backbone of our economy and the primary generation source of employment and business taxes.  Given the right conditions and assistance, small companies can become more effective in winning and retaining supply contracts to Government and other authorities, providing a much needed boost to the local economy, increasing and sustaining jobs and stimulating further enterprise.

The purpose of the session is to guide local companies in accessing contracts through Wexford Local Authorities.  The session will simplify the procedures in place for accessing local authority contracts and it is anticipated that it will stimulate local company involvement in doing business with local authorities.  Presentations will be made to educate local companies in existing schemes and tendering processes.
