World Economic Survey: Expectations for Recovery in the Eurozone Growing

eurozoneThe International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Ireland has said that confidence in the Eurozone is growing markedly. While high unemployment and budget deficits remain challenging, the overall economic mood is becoming more positive.  The Irish Government, along with their international partners, has an opportunity to capitalise on this positive mood when they meet at the World Trade Organization’s meeting of Ministers at Bali next month. There must be a concerted push to achieve further agreement on trade facilitation and liberalisation. Open markets and stable trading conditions can be the key to unlocking further economic progress and significant job growth.

Madeleine Quirke, CEO Wexford Chamber said “This is a good set of survey results from an Irish perspective. Six month expectations for the Eurozone are at their highest level for almost three years and experts are more confident about the economy for the next three to five years.”
