New General Manager appointed to Talbot Suites at Stonebridge
The property acquired by The Talbot Collection will open its door next month with a new General Manager. Talbot Suites at Stonebridge, the 73 luxury self-catering apartment complex on Paul Quay, will be under the management of Gorey native Suzanne Furlong. With a background in hospitality and retail, Suzanne’s addition to the team is a welcome one.
Suzanne joins The Talbot Collection from Pettitts SuperValu in Arklow, where she was General Manager for almost 5 years. However, Suzanne’s career did start in the hospitality industry. Having gained her degree in Business Studies with Hotel Management from Waterford Institute of Technology, Suzanne entered the hotel trade working in Kelly’s Hotel in Rosslare and Marfield House Hotel in Gorey as well as front of house in Ashdown Park Hotel.
Suzanne is no stranger to hotel groups. The Ballycanew local worked as the Purchasing Manager for Bewleys Hotel Group and also spent time in The Westbury in Dublin and Jurys Inn in Cork under The Doyle Collection. Suzanne has also worked internationally in London, Holland and Australia.
Speaking about her new role, Suzanne said, “I am delighted to be joining The Talbot Collection at such an exciting time. Talbot Suites at Stonebridge is a unique property and to be involved from the beginning is fantastic. I am looking forward to welcoming lots more tourists to Wexford Town and showing them the luxury apartments that we have to offer.”
