Glen Fuels Ltd has recently strengthened their position in the County Dublin, Wicklow and Wexford Oil distribution market by merging with both Sunderland Oil and Holohan Oil. The merger will see both Colin Sunderland and Jimmy Holohan join forces under the Glen Fuels banner whilst assuring their large customer base that service will continue as normal. The merger has been billed by Glen Fuels, who supply fuel to the domestic, commercial, agricultural and marine sectors, as an opportunity to expand their fuel operations in the areas serviced by Sunderland Oil and Holohan Oil.
Sunderland Oil is based in Gorey and Holohan Oil is based in Rathnure, Enniscorthy. All three companies are very well known family businesses and have been long established in their respective areas since the mid-late 1980’s. Glen Fuels has been operating since 1986 and has increased its product lines to include solid fuel with plans to further expand their services in the near future. Alan Keyes one of the Directors of Glen Fuels said ‘This is both an exciting and challenging time for Glen Fuels. We have been planning and preparing for the coming together of the businesses over the last few months and now that this merger has come to fruition, it is an exciting opportunity for everyone involved to continue to grow the business together. We will continue to provide value and service to our customers and it will be business as usual. We will be in touch with all of Sunderland and Holohan Oil customers to ensure services continue without any interruptions and to reassure them that they will continue to enjoy the same excellent service that has been provided to them over the years from both Colin and Jimmy”.
