Top Irish Artists Gather in the National Opera House to raise much needed funds for Nepal

A concert featuring four leading Irish artists, in aid of the relief efforts following the earthquake in Nepal, has been organised by the nine Wexford people who were recently caught up in the devastation.

A Concert for Nepal” takes place in The National Opera House, Wexford on Thursday 28th May at 8.00pm. The bill features Wexford Artists Tony Carty and Aileen Donohue who join us fresh from their run in the Wexford Light Opera production of Chess. They will be flying solo for this performance, where they will sing and perform in their own unique style.  Performing on the night also is Ireland’s internationally known Singer Songwriter Eleanor McEvoy. Eleanor is well known for composing the song “Only A Women’s Heart” the title track from the bestselling album in Irish History; A women’s Heart Finishing the line up we have The Celtic Tenors, who assure us we’ll get more than a performance by world-Class artists. We’ll get an evening to savour and a night with tenors who despite their incredible success don’t take themselves too seriously!

This concert is brought about as a result of nine Wexford people – who were caught up in the recent devastating earthquake in Nepal. After their experience they were motivated to fundraise for the people of Nepal. All proceeds will go directly to Trocaire’s teams on the ground in Nepal. Tickets priced from €25 can be bought through the National Opera House,  www.nationaloperahouse.ie or Box Office at 0539122144.  Tickets are also available at Westgate Design in Wexford Town.
