County Wexford Chamber of Commerce teaming up with Wexford GAA

“You don’t choose your county, you inherit it”

County Wexford Chamber and Wexford GAA have entered into a strategic partnership to strengthen the relationship between business and the GAA in County Wexford.

The County Wexford Chamber is the leading business organisation of its kind, supporting businesses of all sizes and sectors across County Wexford. The Chamber is the voice of Business across County Wexford, representing our members on all the key local partnerships and initiatives, sitting on a variety of bodies and forums, and feeding local business issues into the county’s development strategies.

In launching the partnership, Emma Dunphy, Deputy CEO County Wexford Chamber, said, “We at County Wexford Chamber are fully convinced that the future success of our county requires a consistent team effort. This means building upon the synergies that exist between our existing and new partners. With this in mind, we are delighted to expand our network of partners and in this case an organisation with such reach into every part of our county and our communities.  County Wexford Chamber see this as Wexford working with Wexford for Wexford.”

Wexford GAA aims to be the lead sporting organisation in promoting core community values as well as the physical, mental and social wellbeing of our county. We are committed to using our profile to create future leaders in sport, community and business life by engaging, educating, and connecting with the population of Wexford and particularly hard to reach target audiences, including young people, those new to our county, minority groups and those with special needs.

Gavin O’Donovan, CEO Wexford GAA, said, “It is one of our goals to work with our commercial partners in a professional way and continue to invest in developing our games. We also hope with our investment in floodlights in Chadwicks Wexford Park, to bring a boost to our local economy, in particular to the hospitality sector. This partnership further strengthens our connection with businesses across the County.”
